![]() ![]() The heater function is ideal for keeping you warm during cool evenings and nights. For large RVs, we don’t recommend relying on the Dometic Brisk II as your main heat source, especially if you spend a lot of time in cold areas or love winter RV camping. Note that the heating capacity is less than half (5,600 BTU) the cooling capacity. You’ll need to buy a heat strip separately and install it in the AC. However, you cannot use it out of the box. Similar to most RV air conditioners, the Dometic Brisk II comes with an optional heating feature. On the downside, the powerful fan is a bit noisy. The high airflow means the Dometic Brisk II cools your RV faster and easily maintains a comfortable temperature even on those extra-hot days. At 350 CFM or cubic feet per minute, it moves more air than the Coleman Airxcel Mach 15 with its 320 CFM airflow. We are happy to report that the Dometic Brisk II’s airflow matches its powerful cooling capacity. High BTUs with weak airflow will result in less than optimal cooling performance. Compared to the older model with 13,500 BTUs, the new AC is more powerful and cools your RV quicker and more efficiently.Ĭooling performance is not just about BTUs airflow is also important. The 15,000 BTU cooling capacity makes the Dometic Brisk II a good choice for large RVs. 15,000 BTU Cooling Capacity and 350 CFM Airflow And was easy to install.Ĭustomer service was very knowledgeable and easy to talk to.1. This product fit my 1997 camper air conditioner unit perfectly. The screws holes did not line up exactly but close enough to start the screws. It was an easy swap for the damaged original shroud. ($30 or so) and it took a week to arrive. 4 Brisk 'old style' air conditioner shroud. The air conditioner is a brisk air duo therm! So happy I was able to find a replacement shroud for my 1993 horse trailer model! It was the old style that had the grey around the bottom. Today I replaced the shroud on my horse trailer and the holes aligned perfectly. 5 Shroud fits perfect on my 1993 4 star horse trailer.Written by Larry K Laughlin on 25th Feb 2019 The material will retain it' s malleability for years to come. Where many plastics become brittle or 'dry rotten' with UV damage, this will not be your experience with our shrouds. The HMW material also has very elaborate UV inhibiting properties. We do more with less (but higher quality, more fitting) material. ![]() With this mentality in mind, that is why the material may not be as thick as the original. Put simply - it just has more ' give'. ![]() ![]() This material is also less susceptible to damage due to extreme temperature fluctuations for this same reason. So in regards to hail (or other) impact, our part absorbs the damage and rebounds rather than fracturing. Where the originals use a thicker more rigid ABS plastic, our premium aftermarket AC Shrouds use a more malleable/softer High Molecular Weight Polyurethane. Thickness is actually a very limited factor in regards to the product durability. I wanted to address your concerns on thickness. The old ones I had on there were pretty hammered after only ten years. Nor do I expect the cover to hold up to hail very well. The UV will surely ‘have its way’ with the plastic, sooner than later, I expect. I’m a little disappointed in it’s gauge or thickness.
